The Atlas Stones
Ever see the cover of Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged?" Well, our Atlas Stones are not quite as large as the sphere he is holding (I know ... some covers don't show anything), but they are large nonetheless.
As seen in "The World's Strongest Man" competitions, the Atlas Stones are one of the most physically demanding exercises. Basically, the athlete is picking up a perfectly round stone and putting it on a platform that ranges from 2 ft. to 5 ft. off the ground. Doing this requires strong legs, back, abs, arms and chest. The weight of the stones range from 50 pounds to over 300 pounds. If you want to look like Atlas, or Hercules, this is a "must do" exercise for you to incorporate into your routine.
At House Strength Camp, many of our athletes love to do this exercise. It is incredibly challenging, but once you have done it, the exhileration alone is an incredible feeling. You too should feel this exhileration. Call House, set up an appointment, and start becoming the strongest you've ever been in your entire life. |
